Take a long heavy staff and start to shadow fight with it. Move with your feet constantly so the staff moves with you and not you moving with it. Don’t use power to wield the staff and try to rely on your breath and structure as much as possible. Do not pull back the staff at the end of a swing but contimue from where you are and remember to move constantly with your feet and the staff as a part of the body. Wield it so you use the least amount of force and teach yourself to relax the arm as you lead the staff with it. Breath and be aware of your pulse.
