In terms of movement we tend to follow a model like a teacher and emulate his form and way of movement. consider that some of the ways you think you are moving wrong are not so but just the way you move naturaly. Usually the teacher will be showing X and meaning to show just that and the student will also take the teachers preference for other aspects as hand tilt, a certain leg work and so on. To become free we have to be aware. To heal and to stop aggresion you have to be aware and observant. Otherwise you are alone stuck in your body. Have a goal in the learning to survive and live better but be yourself. Take the principle and make it your own.

 Anothe example: Suppose there is a way your teacher NATURALY gets up in. In the beginning you are likely to emulate that but as you grow, your natural way will come out.

Of course I may be wrong :) 

Another note. As you move and work the arms in the static stretch, we tend to lift our shoulders. Be aware of that.Hold hand in hand and travel the distance you can around the body. Consider how many leverages and tactics reside just there. Deflaction is the same as a strike.
