The ground is a good teacher and a friend. It will never lie and always be there for you (unless you are in space and no one can hear you scream:) As you roll on rock you begin to apriciate the hard and soft areas in your body and intuitivly learn to use the rule of hard on soft and soft on hard. This of course applies to hitting and taking strikes too. If you simply join the ground with your body with no fear than it will be the same as walking. If you feel timid to roll from standing. Start from being prone or on your knees. As you move up you simply reach with your arm to meet the ground and as you establish contact (the same as in with a person) you can know how to best move about it. Please try to avoid leaning on anything a person, an object or anything. Remain free in your posture.
