As easy way to learn to walk freely with your lower body free from the direction of the upper body is t ostart wallking slowly and lowering the torso while upright so you are walking low. The advancing leg should be brought fingers toward the direction you intend to move no matter where the body is headed and then “slided on that track” in the direction you intend to advance. This is simple but be mindful not to twist and turn the upper body out of habbit going the way you intend. Once you do this for a while it will help your leg work and kicking quite a bit. Try it.
