After each roll there is a get up at it’s proper time. Experiment how you do so on a regular roll over the shoulder and than add to it. Try rolling with straight legs so you end up with legs ahead of you on the ground and see if there is momentoun you can use in that form (check how you roll on the hip axisand on the point) try rolling on the spot while constantly looking at a point on a wall or better a moving person. Do a dive roll as you jump forward into a superman doing a breast stroke with your hands and keep in mind that the ground is your friend. This is a basic drill and you should grow from it to your own style keeping with the principles.
As fear goes there are ways to overcome it gradually. Try falling forward from a kneeling position with your hands at the back (keep you chin aside !) or roll without using arms or with closed eyes. Closed eyes are better than blindfold becasue you have to keep aware of it yourself and not rely on an outside device to keep you honest.
