The importance of the pause phase. It is important to be not too greedy or hurried as you breath. If you rush through it trying to get all you can in than you will become imbalanced. If you are tired or hurting use the puff breathing (short powerful in and out) Allow the breath in you to take in and the body will tell you when to inhale and exhale. In the meantime the body is working too on taking in the air and circulating. If you rush than you press the lungs and the entire body causing less spirit to come in and you will feel the effect soon enough.
