If you are frustrated about hitting than: Go for the push up on the fists using hard floor and try to relax the fists as much as possible. See how you balance your mass on all the surface of the fists. Now try to push the ground away and relax and again a few times (e-mail me if you actually succeed !).  Look if some parts of the fists are getting less blood and what you can do to work this out. Raise one hand at a time or both if you have dental insurence and see if more mass actually is easier to take beasue you are forced to do the right thing. Now that you are good and heavy (nerves are activated or ready to be and you are aware of the blood pumping in the arms and hands and all…) stand up and relax the shoulders and hands. Maintain as always a good posture and start to shift mass from the center of gravity at the hips to the solar plexus. (if that sounds bizare just move your hips from under the shoulders and let the torso and chest and shoulders resume the natural position over the hips in turn. Think of a flexible straw or pamela anderson, its elastic so if you bend it it returns to true in the opposite way to the way bent) err now allow the shoulders and arms to sway from this or manifest the shift by moving like a clock weight a few times and advance to directing this wave/whip to the arm by changing your body position, changing your hight by bending the knees and so on. As this becomes more natural and you are able to create more relaxed movement in the arms start to mind keeping the wrist alighned with the forearm. After many years of frustrated attempts while the theme to Once upon a time in china plays you realize you can actually smile and relax your face muscles. This relaxes the entire body (try it) and it works like a charm. Ok now start working with a partner. Keep from doing harm to yourself and others. Work on directing the whip inside and don’t worry about power or speed. Precision and timing is more valuable and relaxation == effectiveness.
