A simple drill to relax the foot. Put on a pair of thongs, flip flops or those oversized crocks and start walking. Instead of skrunching your toes and foot to keep the shoe with you, relax the toes and foot and allow the shoe to move around a bit as you walk. Over time this will allow you a more relaxed stride and a softer one. It is the same as the static push up on the fists. The goal is to soften the fist so we can deliver the force forward and not spread it on the surface (among other goals) Just see what is in front of you and it will set you free.

I walk in thongs all the time, yet this is new to me–I definitely scrunch. I’ll give this an extra no-effort effort tomorrow. Thanks!
