Remember that anything that has form can break: When you roll and you want to roll as a round shape or even hold the idea of a round roll inside it will manifest and since the ground is not always smooth and flat you will break to some extent (unless you are a self aware D9). If you come with no expectations than you can form along the ground and keep in one piece as you move and change all the time.
