A two drill day: (Mostly taken from VV H2H with my take of it)
First stand and have someone walk at you using regular speed. Move away when you feel he is close enough (the feeling will change with time as long as you don’t let anyone come too close) Move away using regular steps and keep yourself upright. Don’t lean into the wake of his movement to save time. Try again and don’t be late. Practice this a few times and than add another walking towards you. Now add an arm reach towards you as the distance lessens. This will teach you to keep from the reach of the limbs. Remember to keep close enough so you can work too. This brings in the angles of your body to others and the way you hold yourself. After doing this add a hand on their shoulder as you keep yourself safe and add a gentle send off. Once you did this a few times put the hand on their head and learn to do so without them seeing the hand coming. (practice with the legs too but later) For example if you keep the arms at the body and mask the movement in body movement the arm has to move less and the others will not see it as a threat but as simply walking. After you practiced for a while add a gentle wave to the hand on the head. It is easy to take down a person that way and easy to kill this way so make sure you progress with care to one another. After this drill do something else like push ups and the like and go to number two.
Now have one person come at you and you let him pass feeling the direction in his body and arms and letting it roll beside you by moving out of the way completely and never ressisting his motion. Instead allow him to move without finding any support in your body (ressistance) and keeping from getting entangled or changing your structure. If you are letting fear take chage than you will arch and overreach or ressist his action and so give him something to work with not to mention other people that you are not looking for as you focus on your fear. do this for a while and than add another person and don’t speed up to compensate. Stay relaxed and learn to move. Speed will come after a few practices of this as the body learns other things work too.
It takes me a long time to actually understand to some extent what I am given by Mikhail, Vladimir and Konstantin but I enjoy the jurney and hope to give back as much as I can to my people.
