Tension breeds tension and relaxation likewise. Tense up your fist and notice if your arm is also tense. Now relax the hand and notice if the shoulder relaxes. Now do the same with others. Lay your hands on the shoulders of a partner and relax. Breath smoothly and see him or her as a person. You will feel him relaxing also and than you can work with little damage to both.
