A simple drill to learn how the body works as a whole and to learn to use this to your benefit: Lie on your back and lift the head up, check which muscles you are using to lift the neck and which you are using to balance the body tension chain. For example: Does your front hip tendons activate (the V straps that affect the placement of the hips felt when you either thrust your pelvis forward or bring the thighs together  ) when you lift your head? Mine do. On the stomach, does your lower back activate when you lift your chin off the ground ? Check the ankles and the knees too for yourself and learn from it.
