I think it is logical to want to know yourself before you start to work with others. To learn to master your spirits try drills with this spirit: One person walks calmly and a partner or more come and try to push him and hit him (the face and the chest and hips produce the most emotion out of most people but test this for yourself) and his job is to stay calm and unhurt as he solves the problems one at a time. You can hit yourself if need be but keep your breath and mind calm.
