A good way to learn to know distances and your place in space is to roll with eyes closed. Start standing up or squating according to your comfort level and decide where you will end the roll. Close your eyes and roll and check yourself. Do this many times, forward, backwards, sideways, on one foot, holding a stick and so on. This is a gret way t oteach the body to know it’s location and the true effect of your movement. When your eyes closed the way we look to ourselves doesn’t effect us and we are more free to be who we really are. Enjoy this and add a wall or a friend or both when you feel ready.
Another thing about the thought of the roll is to relax forward (or whichever way you are rolling) in a wave instead of leaning towards it and falling. If you relax than you will not have tension in your body and if you lean you will have more tension than what you started with.
