Work with a partner to learn to walk without creating tension in the hips and entanglement in the limbs by first standing and letting your partner creat pressure on you (head, neck, body arms, hips, legs anywhere) and respond by moving with the direction but choosing how to move with the limb that is already in that direction. For example if you have a hand pressing your right shoulder in a circle clockwise you can move with the right leg to accomodate but that will create a twist in the hips and you will loose some mobility and capasity to breathe. Try to move as a whole so if there is a pressure on one side, the side that is in the direction will move. For example if an arm comes to close a choke from the back and to the left you can move, stepping with your left foot forward and your arms will be in good position to defend yoursef as you maintain your freedom of movement and avoid tension in your body. Start by simply pressing you hands or fists against all the points in the body and have maybe two directions at once or more than one person. Than have the drill as you walk and see how you choose your reaction within the movement and than add the solution the body gives you as you maintain your breath and clarity throughout.
This is a good drill to start with your eyes closed so there will be no picture in your head of how you move and you can be free to create something new from yourself.
