Place your hands together at the small of your back relaxed and check what you can do around the house. For example can you turn the lights on and off with your shoulders, Pick up the phone and place it between your neck and shoulder and so on. With a partner first have him push you to the ground and back up with you in this “hand cuffed” situation and see how you prevent harm to yourself and keep mobile. Than standing up deflect and change the routes of attacks at you by your partner and don’t neglect attempts to hug and other more commited movements. Both of you need to think freely to learn from this. After this change and repeat the drill and perhaps try this standing and hopping on one foot. It helps to relax and become aware of all the posibilities you have in your hips. Many times one part of you like the shoulders or knees will be over developed to compensate for the lack of awareness (density, awareness) in others and you can easily hurt yourself that way. You are only as healthy and strong as your weakest part.
