Three things you can do to free your senses;

1 Stand and hold your hands in front of you. Start moving the fingers and slowly move the arms to the sides till you reach the point where they are at the edge of your sight. Come back and distance the hands till you reach your current best and than repeat this as the hands move away from each other up and down. this will allow you to take in a lot more and calm the mind. As you are not focused on any one item, you can see the whole picture and without any preconceptions like: a tree is made of trees and see the animals and grass and whatever else you can.

2 close your eyes and sit in a quiet place. Slowly move your focus from what is close to you. Your heart beat, your breath and other body sounds to the proximity and on and on. Can you tell the direction and mass of what is making the sound. How best to hold your mouth so it makes less sound to disturb you or to alarm someone else. Can you cup your hands over your ears to enhance the direction diduction and so on.

3 Close your eyes and move about your house or somewhere you will be safe from the people in the white jackets… Feel the ground with your feet, the walls with your hands and body. The chair leg with your toe (go slow and learn)

Now combine all three and add something else of yourself. Movement is a way to reach new places. Go freely and you will reach somewhere.

On another issue: Put yourself in the push up position with feet at shoulder width. Now rotate the body from front to back creating a straight line with the movement. Keeping the distance even and the movement unlabored is a good measure of perception of space. Correct yourself as you work. No one is perfect but we can all improve.
