Try a few simple ways to move without your arms. It of course involves moving your shoulders and arms but without being supported by them. Try getting up and down to a sitting and than a prone position both on your back and chest. Move from prone to sitting by sliding on the hips so not to strain the back muscles. Use the joint range of motion as something that helps rather than inhibits. If you can rotate on at the adge than you can create a lot of movement without lossing a lot of energy. As you sit on a chair try to get up by shifting mass from both hips to just one and using this chain to raise the hip that isn’t supporting anything. Now you can for one slide the same side leg forward and turn. Now turn your mass to the “airborne” hip and that alone will lift you from the chair. Or ask a friend to pull you up 🙂
