A very simple drill to learn better balance and freedom: Stand on the heels of both feet or one and start doing figure eights with your hips. Move so the upper body is still and relaxed and learn to move indevidually with each part. Next lie down and bring yourself to a balance on the shoulders and neck. Now start to move your legs and torso as you relax the base and feel how one movement travels through the body to the ground as it relaxes. Enjoy.
