The Eiffel tower protocol

1–2 minutes

read

There are times where the plan emerges from the outcome.

Several years ago, I was planning to visit Paris and to climb up the Eiffel tower was one of my goals. A simple calculations showed that there is the equivalent of 31 floors to climb in one breath so I devised a plan to get it done.

The rough sketch:

Joint mobility

Toes and foot flexing and extending

Heel rotations

Kneed rotations

Hip circles

Sideways jumping jacks with arm swinging

The climb (I started at 10 minutes and reached 30 minutes by the end of the plan)

2-3 times a week but adding to 10 times a month so there is load and de-load planned within.

X minutes consisting of

At the bottom of the floor – one heels down squat

Go up a floor and do one sissy squat with knees touching the ground

Go down a floor

Repeat for the duration and finish with a walk while performing the joint mobility again.

I was able to go up the Eiffel tower with my breath in tact and carrying a backpack as well.

Enjoy the steps as they are the way.
