A lot of the work people do is aimed at taking a person from standing to a kneeling or prone position in some swift fancy manner. The partner usually works to stay upright or attempts to reverse the job when pressed. Consider one is pushing you backwards or forward from your back and your upper body moves faster than you can move your legs. Insted of leaning simply lift both legs or one off them and let gravity bring you to the ground. The push or pull or slide changes your alignment becuase parts of you are stuck or moving at different paces so using this idea you can sometimes naturalize the effect. As another example most of us already used naturally is when a leg is cought in a brush or by a partner and is moved or stuck in place and you naturalize the effect by lifting your free leg and jumping or squatting where you are. This is just another example of being aware of your body and using it without getting hurt and working toward self control. Try it out and see how it fares for you.

Watch out for your head.
